Summer Excursions

Among the many outlets that did this summer, one of the most interesting from a historical point of view it was a visit to Philadelphia, despite being a city visited before, it has many things to offer. From museums, parks, architecture, and lots of history, wherever it look the tangible traces of historical events that marked important points in the foundation of this country.
From the central part, which is where the famous bell of Independence and the tourist welcome center are, to suburbs, a little further away from this area are fully available of the tourists.
My recommendation is that start from the welcome center “Visitor Center Independence,” which is where you can get free orientation and get free tickets to the see the museum of the municipal building where the Independence of the United States of America, “Independence Hall” was signed.
Also you can visit the park called “Washington Square”, the “Benjamin Franklin” library the portrait galleries established in what was the second national bank, the foundations of what was once the home of Benjamin Franklin, and other many historical buildings.
Then to the side of the bay, you have the Penn’s Landing area, with a beautiful place to walk with great breeze special for a hot day.

Next you will find “Harbor Park,” a park a bit special because it only opens for the summer season, in front of the tribute to Christopher Columbus; the specialness of this park is that part of it is floating. Definitely something new, and attractive to see while you are there.
No doubt that the visit can’t be ended without passing through the area of bars and restaurants, which are varied, inviting you to enjoy a meal that in many cases is the traditional “Philly Cheesesteak” and good local beer.
